These Terms govern your use of the 21hop website, customer portal, software, and dedicated-IP VPN service (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy at 21hop.com/legal/privacy, the Refund Policy at 21hop.com/legal/refund, and the information presented and accepted at checkout. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
21hop is a VPN service provided and sold by Unify Media Ltd., a company based at 10th Floor, Bankers Hall West, 888 3rd Street SW, Calgary, Alberta T2P 5C5, Canada. Customer support: support@21hop.com.
You must be at least 18 and legally capable of entering into this agreement. You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards. An account and its Service access may not be transferred without our written permission.
21hop provides managed VPN access with a dedicated egress IP for each paid VPN instance. The Service is a privacy and network-security tool; it does not make a user anonymous and does not excuse compliance with applicable law. Your device, internet connection, local network, and third-party sites or services remain outside our control.
We may update, modify, replace, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to upstream changes, or improve the Service. We do not guarantee access to a particular website or platform, circumvention of geographic restrictions or censorship, a particular speed or latency, compatibility with every device or network, or uninterrupted availability.
Each active paid VPN instance is assigned a dedicated IP address. IP addresses and supporting infrastructure remain owned or controlled by 21hop or its providers; no ownership interest is transferred to you. A dedicated IP is linked to the customer account and may be replaced when reasonably necessary for security, abuse response, legal compliance, provider requirements, network operation, or events outside our reasonable control. We will try to minimize avoidable disruption.
Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy at 21hop.com/legal/refund.
You must comply with all laws that apply to you and must not use, attempt to use, or permit the Service to be used to:
We may investigate suspected violations using information reasonably available to us, including account, payment, connection, security, and third-party complaint information, and may take action proportionate to the nature and urgency of the risk.
We may apply reasonable rate limits, protocol restrictions, traffic controls, bandwidth controls, or temporary safeguards to protect customers, infrastructure, and IP reputation. Urgent measures may be applied without advance notice when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security threats, legal requirements, or material operational risk.
The Service may rely on third-party networks, infrastructure, software, or open-source components. Those components may be governed by separate licence terms. We are not responsible for the content, policies, availability, or conduct of third-party websites or services that you choose to access.
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Purchases made directly through 21hop are sold by us. Independent payment processors and card networks may process payment and fraud-prevention information under their own terms and legal obligations. We do not ordinarily receive or store full payment card numbers or card security codes.
The Service is provided on an as-available basis and may be affected by maintenance, outages, security events, upstream providers, network conditions, third-party blocking, and events outside our reasonable control. Support is provided through official 21hop channels on a reasonable-efforts basis; response times may vary.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or instance for non-payment, fraud, abuse, a material breach, a security or legal requirement, or material risk to the Service or others. We will give notice and an opportunity to remedy when reasonable, but urgent action may be immediate. Cancellation normally leaves access active until the paid period ends. If we discontinue a compliant customer's paid instance early and cannot provide reasonably equivalent service, the prorated remedy in the Refund Policy applies.
The Service, software, website, branding, trademarks, and content are owned by or licensed to 21hop. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose during an active subscription. You must not copy, modify, sell, reverse engineer, circumvent, or create derivative works from the Service except to the extent such a restriction is prohibited by law or allowed by applicable open-source licence terms.
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, immune from attack, or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, 21hop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Our aggregate liability arising from the affected Service will not exceed the lesser of USD $100 or the amount you paid for that Service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify 21hop against third-party claims arising directly from your unlawful or fraudulent use, material breach of these Terms, or knowing violation of another person's rights. This does not apply to our negligence, wilful misconduct, or breach of law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Alberta, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first try in good faith for 30 days to resolve a dispute informally. Subject to any mandatory right to proceed elsewhere, unresolved disputes are subject to the courts in Calgary, Alberta. Nothing in these Terms waives a mandatory consumer-protection right.
We may update these Terms prospectively. We will provide reasonable advance notice of a material change, such as by email or a prominent account notice, and obtain affirmative acceptance where required by law. You may cancel before a material change takes effect. Non-material clarifications may take effect when posted with an updated effective date.
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted and the rest will continue. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and the information accepted at checkout form the entire agreement for the Service. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the business. Headings are for convenience only.
